This grade was done when stills cameras suddenly could shoot video and photographers first started getting asked to shoot some video footage during the stills shoot. The stills where then beautifully retouched at 8K and I was given those stills as reference to match. I pushed the MP4 HD footage as far as you can push an MP4 the colours matched the stills but there is a massive loss of detail and contrast when compared back to the stills.
